Independent, impartial and confidential mediation
We provide mediation for individuals, businesses, organisations and legal representatives who want to resolve a dispute constructively and efficiently.
Our approach
We do not take sides or impose decisions. We provide a structured setting in which each party can be heard, understand the issues in dispute, consider practical options and work towards an outcome that everyone can accept.
Mediation can be an effective alternative to prolonged and costly disputes. By encouraging open communication and helping the parties focus on their underlying interests, we help them reach solutions that work in practice.
About usServices
We mediate a wide range of civil, commercial and workplace disputes. The mediator helps the parties understand the issues and explore solutions, but does not impose a decision.
Civil and commercial
Contract, professional negligence, supplier, payment and shareholder disputes, among others
Workplace
Conflict between colleagues, grievances, and disputes between managers and employees
Business and partnership
Disagreements between business owners, directors, shareholders or partners
Property and construction
Landlord and tenant, building and construction disputes, including those involving several parties
Court proceedings
Mediation before proceedings are issued, or at any stage once they have begun
International
Disputes between parties in different countries and jurisdictions
Online mediation
Our online service allows the parties to take part without travelling to a mediation venue. Sessions are held by secure video conference, and the mediator may meet the parties together, separately, or both, as the circumstances require.
Where it suits the parties better, the mediation can take place in person, or combine online meetings with meetings in person.
More about online mediationHow mediation works
Mediation is voluntary and confidential. The mediator does not decide the dispute or impose a judgment.
Initial enquiry
You contact us to discuss the dispute and whether mediation may be appropriate.
Appointment
Once the parties agree to mediate, the mediator is appointed and a date and format are agreed.
Preparation
The parties may send relevant information or documents, so that the day can focus on the key issues.
The mediation
After an introduction, each party explains their position. The mediator then facilitates discussion and negotiation.
Exploring options
The mediator helps the parties move beyond fixed positions towards options they themselves consider acceptable.
Outcome
If agreement is reached, the terms can be recorded. If not, the parties keep all their rights and options.
